Journal âá°.áââ Ëâ
03-06-2026â My Introduction
I've never really written a journal or anything like it before. So as my first one, I want to announce a couple things. This journal will be used as a way to document development and my overall projects that I'm up to making. Essentially announcements about projects and such.
I also want to use this as an opportunity to improve my writing and overall grammar. There's a toggle for viewing this website in Danish in the bottom left, which will also translate these journals, not through AI or Google Translate, but me doing my best in rewriting it.
Next Steps
At the time of writing, I am still in the process of making this personal website.
By the time this website is live on my own domain, I'm gonna start a new game project for the means of getting good at understanding the UI fundamentals inside of Godot.
About the Codebase
The source code for this website is publicly available on GitHub.
That said, I highly recommend not to use it as a learning resource. This is my first attempt at using React, TypeScript and JavaScript all in one project, while also being my first time designing a website in Figma. The codebase is a mess and there's definitely things, I would do differently now.
Observations on Web Development Content
While I was still figuring out how to use the Next.js framework, I was watching a few videos on web development. And holy shit. I always wondered why "all" web developers are so insufferable, and the way I found out about it is through these tutorial videos.
They all act like they are about to build the next Amazon.com, or they're some guru who wants to sell me a useless course. I know it's not all web developers, but wow, a lot of them really lack creativity and passion, as most of them just do it to make money instead of treating it as an art form.
Learning all this, I really wouldn't want to be associated with the web development communities other than Neocities. Hopefully this issue is limited to YouTube, as most communities have their own share of narcissistic and insufferable people.
